Today is Valentine’s Day and that means the 80s classic COLD HEARTED is reborn in a wacky and weird tribute to danceable shlock.
The track was made famous by Paula Abdul and the song has had very few covers over the years. When we decided to put our own spin on it, we had no idea how complex the song would be. It was really challenging to update all the quirky 80s elements to our Concrete Shamans sound of harmonic disharmony.
Building off the momentum of the previous track from the HUNGRY GOSSIP project BLAMELESS, we wanted to evoke the continuing theme of stories that are desperate to be told. BLAMELESS was about recovering from childhood abuse and trauma.
